About this session

Like many instructors, Dr. Louis Levy abruptly moved all of his courses online this spring. The largest hurdle he faced transitioning to an online environment was giving tests online with integrity. Considering the changing time demands his students were facing, he wanted tests to be available for several days, but for students to have only 60-75 minutes to take exams once they started. Additionally, it was important for him to write his own questions using LaTeX. Hawkes’ Question Builder tool made this possible, and the LaTeX integration was easy to use. In this discussion, Louis will briefly go through the Question Builder tool and demonstrate his experience creating questions with a few examples from his College Algebra and Calculus 3 courses.
